Daughter lives in deceased mothers home. Property taxes are owed and were sold at auction. Can the buyer sue the daughter for the taxes? Buyers lawyer is harassing the daughter. Daughters name is not on the house.

The buyer can sue to "foreclose rights of redemption," which means the buyer gets the house. Daughter needs to get the taxes and fees/costs paid or she will lose the house.

Daughter has right of occupancy and can continue where she pays the tax lien. If she is being harassed then she may have a claim against the lawyer, buyer and possibly the tax enforcement agent (personally.) No private suit for collection of taxation is legal and should an attorney in Maryland attempt such you should contact me immediately.
