Eviction after payment of rent

I paid my back rent of $1100 to the rental office after the letter came to my house from the court system, I did not go to court.

I was evicted nine days later.

I spoke with the manger the night I was evicted and she said " if you had shown up with the back rent to pay the sheirff you wouln't have got evicted"

But I paid it nine days before. I think it was missed book keeping on there part an I would like to sue them

Can I? Do I have a case It has been 8 months this happened.

Re: Eviction after payment of rent

You may have a claim for wrongful eviction IF you paid everything due and can prove it, everything due being all amounts set forth in the writ.
