Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Maryland
''freestanding'' versus ''detached'' property
Is a Townhouse considered ''freestanding''. I want to buy a sales contract from a website and they say it is for the sale of a freestanding residential property.

Re: ''freestanding'' versus ''detached'' property
"Freestanding" ordinarily means detached and doesn't refer to a townhouse, but I would think you could adopt the contract form to your needs. The contract form approved by realtors is used for both detached houses and townhouses.
