Giving house to child

Three years ago, my mother transferred her house to me. Her health is beginning to fail and she may require nursing home care. If her cash runs out, can the house be taken from me to pay for her nursing home care?

Since the transfer was made 3 years ago, the house shouldn't be subject to levy for any nursing home fees.
