Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Maryland
I own a house with HOA fees. They've taken me to court. We've made a payment plan. The problem is they've listed my parents on the suit. Their name is on the deed not the loan. How can I keep them out of this
Is it possible for me to file papers asking to take them off the agreement? Since everything has been done with me.

If the HOA agrees you could possibly get them off the agreement. Otherwise the only other route is to re-title the house so that they are off the deed and this would likely require a new mortgage. You should contact an attorney to discuss.
It's unlikely the HOA will cut your folks loose--not in their interest, but no harm in asking. The fact that they're not on the mortgage is irrelevent; this is an ownership issue and they signed the HOA docs. As long as you live up to the payoff agreement they should be OK.
