Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Maryland

in a land deal I have acted as a power of attorny for my parents for 8 years. Dealing with courts and travel to PA from MD. Can I charge a fee for this service?

There is no law preventing a power of attorney from charging a fee. However, the power of attorney must EXPLICITLY state the terms of the fee. If the POA does not explicitly state it, consider amending the POA to reflect it. Have an attorney help you.
