Neighbor Tresspassing
I live in a town-home.
My next-door neighbor neighbor sued me on a claim that my gutters caused his basement to flood. He lost in court.
The same neighbor has also been illegally trespassing onto my property. I placed a ''No Trespassing'' sign on my yard. Shortly before the court date, he complained to HOA about my sign.
After he lost in court, he filed a second complaint with HOA about my sign. Now, I have to attend a hearing with the Board of Directors on this.
Other people in my HOA have signs on their yards. Also, HOA disregarded my complaints about the same neighbor tresspassing, and told me to call police, which I did.
How do I proceed?

You go to the HOA meeting, after first reviewing the bylaws as pertaining to signage. If the bylaws permit your sign, you should have no problem.
When you become part of a HOA, you subject yourself to their governance and the restrictions contained in the bylaws. At the same time, the members have the ability to change the bylaws through the procedures set forth in the bylaws.
