Property Leins

A lein was placed on my property 25 years ago for a judgement in court for simple assult. I want to sell the property, is there a statue of limitation?

A money judgment expires after 12 years, but it can easily be renewed at the request of the judgment creditor. However, the lien isn't automatically removed if the judgment expires and wasn't renewed. Assuming the judgment has expired, you would probably have to file something in court seeking to have the lien removed, since the judgment would no longer be collectible.
