Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Maryland

property protection

My wife and I own a one acre lot in virginia, we've had

some problems in the past, there are judgements pending

our question is Can we get some type of protection so that our property will not have a lien placed on it, since it is in another state than where we live? Putting it in our daughters names perhaps.

Re: property protection

Transfer to daughter is a potential idea. However, you cannot avoid all liability where it can be shown that you transferred the property to

evade payment of a lawful debt. Consult an attorney in the state where the property is located.
