Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Maryland
I am a renter and the property recently switched management companies. Many of the residents were told that there was a credit on their account. But now we have been told that there was a glitch in the computer system and are being asked to pay 2 month's rent. Can the management company make us double up on the rent even though they assured us that we had this credit and didn't need to pay?

If the initial information about a credit was incorrect, apparently due to the change in management, you can't benefit from it. Your lease obligations didn't change because of the change in management.
