Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Maryland
residential closing
I have provided notice to the Seller that I am out of town on the Contract Settlement Date, but Seller refuses to agree to an alternate settlement date. Will I be in default for failing to be available on the Contract Settlement Date.

Yes, it could be possible. If you must be away on the date scheduled for this important transaction, why not give one of your trusted associates a special POA to act in your stead?
