Can I sue a builder after 5years for cancelling my contract and telling me I have to purchases at the new prices? [email protected]

I'm assuming you were just notified of this, even though you started the project 5 years ago. You can sue the builder in this scenario. You could sue them for specific enforcement, which means you are asking the court to order the builder to finish the job at the price agreed to in the contract. Alternatively, if you are no longer interested in the property , you could sue to recover any funds you already provided the builder and any additional damages you incurred. Of course, the builder might claim you delayed the project by changes, or that they encountered unforeseen circumstances that caused the project to take longer than reasonably anticipated. Before you do anything you should consult with an attorney experienced in this area of the law who can review your contract documents and best advise you on how to proceed and the likelihood of success.
