Now that you skipped the hearing, it is probably too late to raise those issues -- What possible excuse could you have for not appearing at a hearing where the topic of the hearing is kicking you out of your apartment -- what was more important? At this point, I STRONGLY recommend hiring a Maryland landlord/tenant attorney who can review the specific facts of your case, decide whether there is any possibility of re-opening your case, and advise you from there. Unfortunately, I fear you are too late.
