If you have been takin to court for rent and where unable to attend the hearing. Is there away to fight the eviction if you are and have been living with bedbugs and poor maintenace due to non repairs

The fact that you have bed bugs and poor maintenance due to non-repairs may have been relevant had you attended the hearing. Now that you skipped the hearing, it is probably too late to raise those issues -- What possible excuse could you have for not appearing at a hearing where the topic of the hearing is kicking you out of your apartment -- what was more important? At this point, I STRONGLY recommend hiring a Maryland landlord/tenant attorney who can review the specific facts of your case, decide whether there is any possibility of re-opening your case, and advise you from there. Unfortunately, I fear you are too late.
