How does a tenant go about putting rent in an escrow account to be held pending settlement of landlord and tenant dispute concerning damaged tenant's property?

Re:

Before rent can legitimately be placed in escrow, a court order is necessary. The tenant should petition the District Court in his or her county for the order (the clerk's office has the forms to be filled out to request this). Please note, however, that in general rent escrow orders are only given to force the landlord to repair life threatening situations on the premises and not to resolve property disputes.
