Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Maryland

Tenants Property

Per verbal permission, I paid for and installed a fence at the house I am renting. The house is now for sale and is listed as being fenced (this I did not know). I would like to take the fence with me. Can I or does the fence belong to her because it's her property?

Re: Tenants Property

As you are not the property owner an improvement to the property can be considered appurtenant to the property. Leasehold improvements inure benefit to the land owner unless otherwise specifically exempted by contract.
