Water run off

Neighbors recently had yard landscaped and redirected water drainpipe for run off from their

roof directly toward our house. Is this legal

in Montgomery County, Maryland? If not, can you

please cite the law?

If the effect of the water runoff is to damage your property, you could complain to the county building inspectors. If this doesn't solve the problem, you could seek a court order, claiming that the neighbor is creating a nuisance and damaging your property. In a court proceeding you may need to hire an expert who can explain the effect of the water runoff, unless it's so obvious that photos can demonstrate it. If you haven't already done so, a chat with your neighbors is the logical first step.
