Legal Question in Social Security Law in Maryland
problems with my disability attorney
What are my rights if my attorney fails to do his job?
After being denied disability the first time, I hired an attorney. He failed to provide medical records for the appeal and I was denied again.
So, for the next appeal I was forced to get all the medical records and turn them over to the attorney (they did not do it). The waited until 5 days before my hearing to send them so the judge was angry and unable to have viewed them.
After another denial because of lack of evidence, my husband and I got all the additional evidence and turned it over and they still have not sent in anything. We are now over a month past the deadline. They said they put in for a two week extension and never heard back.
Here we are. What can I do?
