Legal Question in Traffic Law in Maryland
bench warrent
I was stopped for a traffic violation, which was to be a must appear. I was never notified of a court date. Therefore, I didn't show up in court, and a bench warrent was issued. This was at least five years ago. Where do I go to turn myself in? Should I have anything with me when I do go?

Re: bench warrent
Bring your tooth brush. A better way is to employ a lawyer who can contact the State's Attorney and make arrangements with the Court to have the Bench Warrant (which is actually an arrest warrant) lifted and the case set in for trial.
