dismissing a case
a warrant was issued for my arrest in 5-05 and i was unaware because of a move i missed a court date i turned myself in and was issued another date...the traffic matter was cleared up before the court date ( my liscence was suspended for emissions and i since have gotten rid of that car) my liscence is clear now and i do not want to spend a day in court can i have the case dismissed without hiring an attorney to do the paper work for me the case is due in court on 10-18-05

Although this is not legal advice, it sounds like you have done a lot to correct your MVA records and licensure issues. Now it sounds like you may have a reasonable chance of convincing the State to enter a Nolle Prosequei if you take an appropriate approach to things. As you may have heard, it is not a good idea to go to court without a lawyer simply EXPECTING or ASSUMING that the State will drop the charges. The consequences of guessing wrong may be serious and severe. Even lawyers should not go to court without a lawyer on their own cases. It is everyone's constitutional right to proceed pro se (without a lawyer). Exercising that right is usually a poor choice, though. I wish you success.
