Legal Question in Traffic Law in Maryland
Fake-ID Citation
Hello, I am 20 years old and was caught by a police officer with a fake-id trying to get into a bar. I have a court date in January. My record is otherwise clean. What penalties could I be facing and should I have a lawyer present at my court date? Thanks!

With a clean record, you can expect the Judge to just give you a fine. He might or might not give you a criminal record. That is the advantage of having a lawyer. First the lawyer might find a procedural error that could result in a not guilty. Second, you are more than likely to get probation without a verdict with a lawyer, than not.
