Legal Question in Traffic Law in Maryland
Is there Fedral Jurisdiction over Maryland State highways?
I was driving on maryland interstate 32 near ft meade. I was pulled over by police office wearing military fatigues in a white crusier, but i could not see what was written on the side of the car. He gave me a speeding ticket for going 20 mph over the speed limit. Could this office (who I thnk was a fedral officer) give me a ticket when I was on a maryland state highway?

There are no Federal Police Officers. However, the Military Police may give you a traffic ticket if you are on Post while speeding. They have no authority off a Military Reservation.
