They go back over 12 years to 95 and hasnt had a license since altho its been available since 2001. 1st DUI in 95 , then 2nd in 97 then stopped twice by 99 for driving had to do alchohol program for DUI and both times stopped driving got jail time .weekend for 1st and 1 wk transferred to weekends for 2nd. last week while in MD working he was stopped again for driving while revoked. He made wrong turn and cop pulled him, he was revoked and arrested him.told he was looking at up to a yr in jail . got a ticket for the violation and was let out cos nothing else outstanding paid $300 on bond. van was impounded belongs to friend in IL . friends in IL tell him he shud hurry up and try to get license back b4 court and that an IL lawyer they have spoken to can keep him out of jail all for mega money ($2500 to get license ) also told him they can keep pushing court back am wary of this as MD law is a lot stricter than IL law . what I have found is he is looking at 1 yr in jail $1000 fine & 12 points . is it poss to keep him out of jail ?

Re: help needed please .. no license
He should definitely contact a defense lawyer in Maryland. The year in jail is the maximum penalty, and chances are he won't get the maximum. This depends greatly, however, on the judge and prosecutor. Please reply with more information about where and when he has court.
