Legal Question in Traffic Law in Maryland
Not going to pay speeding and other tickets
I recently received 2 tickets on seperate occassions. One for speeding 73 in a 55 for $75.00. And one for failure to stop for a school bus $275.00. I defintely want to take the second one to court to get the fine dropped a little, but I'm moving to Oregon in 2 weeks. I just got the ticket a week ago. If I leave the state, avoid both, and get my
Oregon driver's license. What's the worst that can happen? Will my license be suspended in Maryland? If so will it carry over to Oregon? I hope you can help!

Re: Not going to pay speeding and other tickets
The charges in Maryland, left unanswered, will become an arrest warrant. The points and fines are based upon the offenses as charged. You would be best advised to be available for trial. An attorney's representation may be beneficial. Joe Holthaus, Esq. (410) 799-9002
