Re: Searching my car
Yes it is legal for an officer to search your car without a warrant where the officer has an articulable suspicion of a crime having been committed. This has been decided by the Supreme Court and essentially the officer must have a suspicion that can be articulated after the fact in regard to what he/she thought at the time of the search. Numerous reasons exist to support this judicial decision.
Other legal decisons may affect the outcome. Contact an attorney for a complete evaluation of your issue.
