Legal Question in Traffic Law in Maryland
Speeding ticket Hwy 95
I was driving back from CT and was on Hwy 95 in Baltimore County, MD when I was pulled over for driving 89/65. I didn't realize that I was going that fast and my friends are saying to try to make a plea deal when I go to court. This is only my second speeding ticket ever and was trying to see what are my options to try to avoid getting points on my license?

Speeding ticket Hwy
First, since this is just a speeding case, there is no one there to make a deal with, as it is just you and the cop. Second, since it is your second ticket, the judge will be reluctant to give you probation before judgement. Taking a lawyer with you, might be a wise investment, as your insurance rate increase will far exceed the fine with the ticket.
