Legal Question in Traffic Law in Maryland
Ticket for no proof of ins and emission test not completed
I got a ticket for no insurance and not completed emissions test. the officer said i just had to fix both and show proof in court and it will be taken care of. is that true? Do I need a lawyer?

Well, yes and no. It depends on many things like your record, which judge, and which prosecutor you get. Sometimes they will try to get you to plead guilty to something even if you were not guilty. Keep in mind that Driving Uninsured carries 1 year jail/$1000 fine/12 points. You should at least consult with an attorney about your particular situation.
