Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Maryland
Executor residency requirements
Does Maryland require that the executor of my estate be a resident of the state of Maryland? If there are any special exceptions, what are they?

Re: Executor residency requirements
Maryland, like almost every other state requires that at least one person be a Maryland resident so the Courts have jurisdiction over this person. an out-of-state resident can serve as co-executor, but they must have a Maryland resident to serve as co-executor with them.
