Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Maryland
My father had a new will that was written 2 months before he passed away. It removed myself and 3 siblings and left everything to my sister. His previous will had equal shares left to his children. He had been in the hospital for over 6 months and was not of sound mind. He medical records would prove that. My sister was his personal representative and never told us about that the change. I think it was her doing that the will was changed. What type of legal action could I take?
1 Answer from Attorneys
Suggest you speak with a Trusts and Estates attorney licensed in MD to carefully evaluate the facts and options available. Further information needs to be developed in connection with the filing
of any action. There are a number of fact-specific issues under MD law that need to be carefully worked through concerning the Will and administration of the Estate. An experienced trusts
and estates attorney should be able to handle this under MD law. Please note that my legal services are available only with a signed engagement agreement in accordance with the Maryland Rules of Professional Conduct
applicable to attorneys licensed in the state of MD. If I can be of any help to you, contact my offices as I would be pleased to provide legal/tax support.
Sincerely,
