granmoms will

my granmom past away dec 12 06 and her will was left to my aunt and my mom, but the life insurance policies are only in my moms name. my aunt did nothing for my gran mom.she lived with my mom now she wants money. does everything included get split between them even if the polcies are only to my mom?

Life insurance benefits generally pass to the beneficiary outside of the will and probate process and should not be included in the estate. It doesn't sound like your aunt would have any claim to the benefits.
