Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Maryland

I am in the state of MD. My husband is dying of stage 4 terminal cancer. He has a lease on his car that has 23 more payments. The lease is in his name only. I would like to return the car to the dealer. I could use the money on other bills. Can the leasing company expect any money form me, or put a lean on the house that has both our names on it. There is no estate.

Generally, a creditor can NOT put a lien on any marital property (a house or other asset) that a husband and wife own as tenants by the entirety if the debt is only in one spouse's name. There is an exception for certain tax related liens but that doesn't seem to apply to the situation.
