Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Maryland

I had a Will drawn up in California but now live in Maryland. My named beneficiaries in the Will are both deceased. If I retype my Will with updated residency information and new beneficiaries, will it be recognized as a legal document in the state of Maryland?

To be valid in this state, a Will must be signed in the presence of two witnesses who also sign. The same thing goes for a codicil (formal amendment to a Will). Any attempted updates without proper signing and witnessing will generally not be recognized.
