Will changes

To make the same change in my and my wife's will, do I have to go thru a lawyer that is holding my original wills to insure it still a legal document.

No. You could choose any lawyer. The fact that your current lawyer still retains the originals doesn't give him or her a lock on all future revisions.

Of course, nothing's stopping you from revising your current will yourself, but there are certain technical formalities to be observed during the execution of a new will (or codicil to an existing will), and it's important to make sure whatever changes are made are compatible with the existing provisions.
