Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Maryland
Years ago at my uncles retirement party, he presented my mother with a check. She signed paperwork I'm assuming for ownership. My uncle then told her that no one could touch the money. He also told her not to spend the money on his funeral, when he passes, but spend it on her children (she has 6 kids). Since my uncles passing in 1992. We have tried to find the money through the states unclaimed money, they told us they don't know anything about it. We even went to the bank whose name was on my uncle account, once again no luck. The bank has changed names several times, still no luck. My mother thinks that the power of attorney at the time who was a so called friend of my uncles somehow found the paperwork and he took the money. I say no he didn't because my unlcle said plainly NO ONE can touch this money. My mother is on a very fixed income, and I would love for her to have this money to help her out, I do not know where else to look any ideas please help. Please help!

I track down assets all the time. But, the facts detailed in your question are vague and relate to a supposed incident which occurred 17 years ago. Banks keep records by statute for 7 years. This trail is very very cold and unless better facts can be given not much can be done
