Legal Question in Workers Comp in Maryland

25 yr. old male with carpul tunnel.

I've been off work over 2 months due to having carpul tunnel. I had surgury and workman's comp. covered it but whats my case worth. i've heard once you get carpul tunnel even after surgury your still in pain. I have 3 kids and havent been able to help my wife with them for over 3 weeks its kept me up at night and im getting laid off.

The value of your case is dependent upon the amount you were earning when you got injured and the disability rating you are able to establish you have from the carpal tunnel. That rating is set by your treating physician, but may be challenged by a doctor hired by the compensation carrier. If you can no longer work at your job, you would be entitled to vocational re-training provided by the comp carrier.
