Legal Question in Workers Comp in Maryland

i filed a claim for a knee injury from a truck driving accident, now i am haveing back problems, been complaing for months that my legs were going numb, my question is do i have to file a new claim for the back problem.

Not if your doc concludes that the two are both related to the accident. He or she would have to issue a report on the back stating their medical opinion that both stem from the accident in order to qualify for ongoing disability benefits and continued care. The insurer could dispute this and have you examined by their own doctor, and if they refuse to pay you can request a workers' comp hearing.
