Legal Question in Workers Comp in Maryland

hurt at work, unaware of injury until much after the incident

I was hurt at work and have since left the company. I'm still trying to determine whats wrong with me but I do know that what ever it is, it could only be one of two things... back or hip injury. I was moving a motor out of the way of a work area by myselfwhen I first started the job in question. about two weeks later I noticed an unfamiliar pain in my leg. Now, 3 months later I can omly stand/walk for 2 minutes at a time and can't work. Do I have a case?

Re: hurt at work, unaware of injury until much after the incident

It's very difficult to connect the injury to the on-the-job incident after so much time. Unless a doctor who examines you is willing to state for the record that your injury occurred on the job, you won't be able to collect benefits. The workers comp insurer surely will contest your claim, since you didn't report it to your supervisor when it happened.
