Legal Question in Workers Comp in Maryland

right knee injury

I was injured in 2004 been through 4 surgeries still have alot of pain. Was released once to go to work found a job and the knee pain was aggrevated by the work. Lost this job because of being unable to train in a certain amount of time am I able to get compensation due to the insurance companies failure to pay for the knee surgery in a sufficient amount of time

It sounds like you have a permanent knee injury, and if so you need to get a disability rating from your treating physician. You could then file for permanent disability benefits through workers' comp. As to the medical bills, if they are related to the work injury the comp carrier (insurance co) is obligated to pay them and if they have not, you can ask for an order requiring that at the same hearing in which you seek disability. You should have engaged an experienced workers' compensation attorney long ago to help you with this; if you didn't, do so right away.
