Legal Question in Workers Comp in Maryland

I slipped at work on July 29, 2009. I have facial numbness, neck pain, arm numbness and pain into hand and fingers, back wing pain etc. I have 2 ruptured discs and inpingment of the left shoulder. I have osteoarthritis with degenerative disc disease. The neurologist said he doesnt think the discs are the problem. He thinks it is cord shock and I may or may not regain it and did not want me to go to the neurosurgeon that are in the same practice. The discs that are ruptured link to the face and arms. I go to the neurosurgeon on Sept 8 to get his opinion. I also go to a orthopedic dr at the end of Sept for the shoulder inpingment. I guess my question is if the problem is permanent can I make them fix the discs? What would a settlement for something like that be? If the discs cant be fixed can you get partial disability and still work part time while still receiving comp checks? Also my job is one hour away. If I am unable to drive distance because of my neck and shoulder can I collect comp until I find a new job due to the limitation?

You need help both medically and legally and I urge you to contact me by phone as soon as possible. I cannot give you specific advice until I know the jurisdiction and employer but you need an attorney's help and the sooner the better.
