Legal Question in Workers Comp in Maryland

termination

I have been terminated from my employer of 28 years, due to 6 months of short term disability, now rolling over into long term disability on 6/10/2007. Met life my disability carrier terminated its coverage on 6/17/2007. They both started their count date on 12/10/2006, so why do they have differnt terminations dates?

Re: termination

It appears that the carrier gave you an extra week of STD before converting you to LTD. If the STD benefits were less, you should contact the carrier and request that they adjust the date and payment.
