Legal Question in Medical Leave in Massachusetts
Family Emergency Leave
What qualifies as Family Emergency Leave? I work for a small local bank. Whenever I need an hour or two off for the needs of my children. e.g. drs. appt., school appt., HS graduation the time is taken from my SICK/Personal accrual, or I am docked. In my previous employment, there was an additional 24 hrs of time that wouldn't count against your sick/pay.

It sounds like your former employer granted you leave under Small Necessities Leave which is a Massachusetts family leave act. Whether or not you are eligible for this with your new employer cannot be determined by the information you have given.
