Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

My friend wants to leave her boyfriend but he said he will keep the baby because he has an apartment and she will be with her parents. Can he do this? I believe her name is also on the lease.

Not likely-it appears that she is an unwed mother and as such Massachusetts affords her full custody rights until such time as a court determines otherwise.
