Legal Question in Banking Law in Massachusetts
Not sure what I can do about this but, my daughter and I have a joint checking account and 2 weeks ago on 6/7 she had a balance of $41. the next 9 transaction against her account on the same day were for insufficient funds 9 of them at $35 /ea. There is no explanation for it, she had a balance. Because of those 9 she was charge nine more for the nine transactions she did after that on 6/8. The 9 transaction totaled $38. which if the 1st 9 insufficient funds had not been charged against her account she would have had enough in there to keep her balance positive. She would have not incurred any insufficient fund penalties. I have talked with the local branch manager and he put $175 back but said he could not put the rest back. There is no reason she should have been charge in the first place and is still short $455. I need help The basically stole $455 from my daughters account
Thanks
Pete
