If I file bankruptcy and have a dockett number am I protected from being sued in small claims court?

Typically, you get a docket number just a moment after you file a petition for bankruptcy relief. Technically, the related protections spring into effect the instant you file.
The protections include stopping all actions to collect a debt that existed at the time of the filing. This means stopping all such law suits and preventing all that COULD have started at the time of the filing.
