My name is on the deed of my ex-husbands house. If I file bankruptcy will it affect him?

Half of the equity is yours unless it's addressed in your divorce judgment. Best to have counsel review the divorce filings and see if your half, if it is yours, can be protected in bankruptcy.

It depends on whether there are any joint debts. Often a divorce judgment will assign some debts to one spouse, others to the other spouse. More generally, your bankruptcy discharge will not protect him from creditors. Consult an experienced bankruptcy attorney for advice specific to your situation.
