First off, there is a serious cost associated with doing this in the bankruptcy context: the costs of the attorney, and then the doctor experts you will need to prove your disability. Second, a benchmark question the Court usually asks is whether you have tried IBR (income based repayment) have you? Finally, if you really are disabled, you may very well to be able to discharge your loans directly with the department (though not always certainly).
Good luck! Discharging educational loans is VERY difficult, and I would not recommend you attempt it without an attorney.
