Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Massachusetts

Exemptions

I need to find the section of Mass law which specifies the exemptions allowed in a personal bankruptcy, or a copy of same. I had originally retained council in GA to file the action , but he wants to know the differences, since I actually have a permanent residence in both GA and MA. Any and all assistance greatly appreciated.

Re: Exemptions

The exemptions available under state law are found in various sections of the Massachusetts statutes; they aren't in any one place, generally. The bigger question is where is your domicile? Under bankruptcy law, it it possible to have more than one residence, but you can have only one DOMICILE. It is an important question, because the law of your DOMICILE will determine which state's exemption laws you may use. For more information, email me.
