Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Massachusetts

Taxes

We filed Chapter 13 Bankruptcy 18 months ago,it will not be discharged until Oct.2007 we owe 1600 in taxes this year our lawyer says you can't amend the plan to include the new taxes is he right?

In MY opinion, No. Usually you can amend the plan for any good reason, and including taxes is probably a good reason. There may be something I don't know about that would change the answer in your situation, so ask your attorney to explain why.
