Legal Question in Business Law in Massachusetts

Adding ''terms'' or stipulations to back of personal check

In transactions involving payment with a personal check, is it possible to put a stipulation under the endorsement line and have this be legally binding. E.g., a rent check could say something such as ''By endorsing this check, the signer agrees to reimburse the renter for expenses in replacing a bathroom faucet.''

If this is possible, what is the correct wording?

thanks,

Jon
