Legal Question in Business Law in Massachusetts
Age of Majority in Massachusetts
What is the age in Massachusetts when my son (now age 18) can legally sign a binding contract for items such as the purchase of an automobile? Thank you.

Age 18 is for most purposes the age of majority in Mass.
And in particulary, he is old enough to bind and to be bound by a contract.
Is this a new car or a used one? Did he agree to a high price or do you think the price was really a bargain? Was the purchase for a car on the lot or a special-order or what? Was the purchase to be outright or on a leasebasis? Believe it or not, these are legally relevant questions as well as being common sense pertinent.
However, USUALLY contracts to purchase cars, especiallynew ones, can be walked away from without too much hassle;hire me (or at least call me!) and I'm sure I'll be able tohelp you out. 617-527-0050
