Legal Question in Business Law in Massachusetts
Auction Purchase
How binding are the Ebay auction rules? If someone bids and wins an item, are they legally bound to pay for that item?
What are the options if they refuse to pay?
Do the laws of the buyers state or the sellers state take precidence?

Re: Auction Purchase
When you become a member of the ebay community, you agree to be dbound by their rules and regulations. Generally, the successful bidder on a item is bound to acquire the item bid on. It is a binding contract of sale. My suggestion is that you read the user agreement set forth on the ebay website. It details a member's obligations and duties. By using ebay's services, you are agreeing that jurisdiction is Santa Clara County, California.
